<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">some are essential to health, including vitamin and mineral absorption, hormone production and cell structure.</span><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">New USDA Fat Recommendations</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">The U.S. government has changed the recommendations for the 2005 Dietary Guidelines. The old guidelines had fat way up top of the pyramid, in the narrowest part, next to sugar. Fat was to be kept to a minimum, which made consumers think that all fats are bad. However, some actually help lower cholesterol and prevent disease, leading the USDA to change the fat recommendation.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">They&#8217;ve flipped the pyramid on its side, so that consumers understand that within the fat category, some fats should be included regularly, but others should only be eaten occasionally, if at all. The new pyramid reflects the ruling that takes effect on January 1, 2006. Soon consumers can read the number of grams per serving of trans-fat, which is linked to coronary heart disease.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">Good Fats/Bad Fats</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">Populations who eat their fat calories from nuts, seeds, olive and canola oil, avocado and fatty fish like salmon, sardine and mackerel remain healthier than those who eat a lot of fried foods, fatty meat and hydrogenated fats in packaged foods.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">Fat tastes good, and makes food taste good. But, since fat has twice the calories of protein and carbohydrate, most people can&#8217;t eat it indiscriminately. Fat needs fine tuned, especially when you&#8217;re trying to lose weight on a balanced program. </span></td>

<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">Let&#8217;s just say that this is your day from the time you wake up to the time you sleep&#8230;.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">6:00&#8211;9:00&#8211;12:00&#8211;3:00&#8211;6:00&#8211;9:00</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">         When you wake up your body has been fasting throughout the night.  That drop in insulin could be your weight loss advantage or DISADVANTAGE-Play your cards right.  This is the best time to tap into fat with a 20-30 minute cardio session, and/ or the most crucial time to eat a nutritious meal.  Let me show you why:</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman', Times, serif;">Let&#8217;s say you wake up but don&#8217;t eat until 12:00.  Your insulin would take a drop from 6:00to 9:00am storing fat for your starvation (&#8220;but I&#8217;m not starving&#8221;, you say)  YOUR BRAIN THINKS DIFFERENT.  Remember we as humans are designed for famine and times without food and water&#8212;-this leads to fatty deposits&#8212;-and ugly fat.  We are designed to move, so eat clean and keep your furnace above the line by eating every three hours.</span></p>

<p>So that&#8217;s exciting&#8212;other areas of my life are exciting too.  Good things are happening for me in all avenues of my life. I feel like god has a master plan, and if you let him&#8230;the plan will fall into place.  That&#8217;s my take on that!</p>
<p>So in the meanwhile, I&#8217;m just taking one day at a time.  We&#8217;ll see what comes of all this crazy shit&#8230;:)</p>

VInnie is hilarious and a former MArine too!! Then there is Erik, who is an incredible guy&#8212;too nice at times, but none-the-less&#8230;.a great support and a very dedicated human being.  Then onto my other side of life&#8230;editing&#8230;thanks to Lou, my best bud for the opportunity to grow as an editor for his site..and Nercy for giving me the opportunity.  I also want to thank Wayne for his encouragement and awesome personality and EXPERTISE!!!!  Great PEEPS I tell ya&#8230;. Lisa is my best grll.  I love her to death and she is rather inspiring herself.  She has such great drive and enthusiasm and talent in everything she does&#8230;my momma&#8230;I loveeee love love her&#8230;..She is the best woman I know and will ever have known!!!! Well well well&#8230;reminiscing on people and good times is great&#8230;I couldn&#8217;t ask 4 more!!!Kel;) </p>
